Authentication Default AWS credential chain

Description

No description available [API reference]

Instructions

Use credentials already available to the Windows account that runs the ZappySys JDBC Bridge. The AWS SDK default credential provider chain can use environment variables, shared AWS files, container credentials, or an EC2 instance role.

  1. Grant the selected IAM principal Athena and Glue catalog permissions plus access to the query-results S3 location.
  2. Configure credentials for the Windows account that runs the driver. For unattended refresh, prefer an EC2 instance role, container role, or another short-lived credential source over long-lived access keys.
  3. Enter Region and Workgroup. Enter Output location only when the workgroup does not enforce one.
  4. Finish the wizard. Then click Test Connection on the DSN Main UI.
  5. If the test cannot find credentials, verify them while signed in as the service account that runs the process, not only as your interactive user.
