Instructions

H2 in-memory JDBC from Power BI, SQL Server Linked Server via ZappySys Data Gateway, Crystal Reports, SSRS, Azure Data Factory, and other ODBC tools.

  1. No server to install. Data lives in the Java process for this DSN and is gone when the connection closes unless you add DB_CLOSE_DELAY=-1.
  2. Optional user/password: default lab user is often sa with empty password.
  3. Finish the wizard. Then click Test Connection on the DSN Main UI (the wizard does not run Test Connection).
  4. Done. You can query from C#, Python, PowerShell, and ODBC apps.
