Prerequisites<\/span><\/h2>\r\nBefore we perform the steps listed in this article, you will need to make sure the following prerequisites are met:\r\n

  1. SSIS<\/abbr> designer installed.\u00a0Sometimes it is referred to as BIDS<\/abbr> or SSDT<\/abbr> (download it from the Microsoft site<\/a>).<\/li>\r\n \t
  2. Basic knowledge of SSIS package\u00a0development using\u00a0Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services<\/em>.<\/li>\r\n \t
  3. Make sure\u00a0ZappySys SSIS PowerPack<\/a><\/span>\u00a0is installed (download it<\/a>, if you haven't already).<\/li>\r\n \t

    How to delay SSIS tasks using SSIS Timer Task<\/h2>\n
      \n
    1. In order to solve this problem, you need to download this free tool and use it.\u00a0ZS Timer task does not require too many explanations to use it. It is\u00a0simple. You just specify the time to wait.<\/li>\n
    2. Secondly, we will have a package like this one:\n

    3. Also, we need to wait 1 minute in order to have everything ready for the
      \nexecution of the next package:<\/p>\n
    4. Finally, it is possible to wait days, hours, minutes and seconds.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Delay SSIS tasks to a specific date<\/h2>\n

      1. It is also possible to run the package using the ZS Timer task and\u00a0execute the timer task to specific data.<\/li>\n
      2. In order to do this we will use the following configuration:\n
      3. In this example, the configuration provided will run on June 11, 2019.<\/li>\n
      4. Also, remember to uncheck the option Ignore date part. This option is\u00a0checked by default and disables the date.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Delay SSIS tasks to a specific time<\/h2>\n

        1. The next example will be used to run the task in a customized time.<\/li>\n
        2. First of all, we will configure the time to 13:02:01. This means that\u00a0the task will run at that time:\n

          Delay SSIS tasks from a variable<\/h2>\n

          1. We will show how to get the date from a variable. We will store the time\u00a0from a variable and delay the task until the specified date of the variable.<\/li>\n
          2. First of all, we will create a variable of type dateTime:\n
          3. If the ignore date part is checked, it will run today at the time\u00a0specified.\n
          4. Otherwise, it will run the date and time specified.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
