Prerequisites<\/span><\/h2>\r\nBefore we perform the steps listed in this article, you will need to make sure the following prerequisites are met:\r\n

    <\/a>Validating your Azure Storage Account Is Gen2 (ADLS v2)<\/h3>\n

    Before connecting from SSIS, confirm that your Azure Storage Account is\u00a0ADLS Gen2\u2013enabled<\/strong>, which means it supports a\u00a0hierarchical namespace<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    1. Check the Storage Account Type. Go to\u00a0Azure Portal \u2192 Storage Accounts<\/strong>\u00a0and verify that your account is\u00a0ADLS v2 (Gen2)<\/strong>.\n
    2. Open the storage account<\/li>\n
    3. Locate\u00a0Hierarchical namespace<\/strong><\/li>\n
    4. Ensure it is set to\u00a0Enabled<\/strong><\/li>\n

      Option A<\/strong>: Connect Using Storage Account Access Key. This is the simplest method and works well for internal or controlled environments.<\/p>\n

        2. Open\u00a0Storage Account \u2192 Containers<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
        3. Select the container you want to grant access to.\n
        4. Click\u00a0Generate SAS<\/strong>\u00a0to generate a Container-Level SAS Token.<\/li>\n
        5. Select required permissions (Read \/ Write \/ List \/ Delete).<\/li>\n
        6. Set expiration date.<\/li>\n
        7. Generate and copy the SAS URL.\n

          Recommended:<\/strong>\u00a0Use\u00a0SAS URL<\/strong>\u00a0for quicker and more reliable configuration. While SAS Token authentication is still supported,\u00a0Copy SAS URL is easier and more user-friendly<\/strong>\u00a0because it already includes the container path. When you paste the SAS URL into the Connection UI, the\u00a0container name is automatically detected<\/strong>, eliminating the need to enter it as a separate step manually.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
